OBJECTIVE

In "German for work and study" courses, you will improve your language skills for everyday life, studies and work.
These evening courses "light" are offered in cooperation with the International Office of the LMU and can be attended while studying or working. They take place twice a week at levels A1-C2.

Course 1: A1 - German for study and work "Survival German"
Course 2: A2 - German for study and work
Course 3: B1 - German for study and work
Course 4: B2 - German for study and work
Course 5: C1/C2 - German for study and work
Course 6: Academic Writing: Term Paper and Thesis (B2)
Course 7: German for Students of Law (B1/B2)
Course 8: Presenting, lecturing and scientific working techniques (B2/C1)

Courses 1-5:
180 EUR (reduced student discount)
220 EUR (without student discount)

Courses 6-8:
150 Euro (reduced student discount)

Under "Verwendungszweck" ("purpose") in the bank transfer form, please enter the following:  

  • The course for which you are paying (for example, German for study and work, course 2) 
  • The course participant's name

CERTIFICATES AND ECTS CREDITS

Courses 1-5 (52 units): 6 ECTS credits
Courses 6-8 (30 units): 3 ECTS credits

Prerequisite for the awarding of ECTS credits:

- Regular attendance (at least 80% of the teaching time)
- Regular participation (homework and small tests in class)
- Passing the final exam

Certificate of attendance:
Students who attend less than 80% of the class time or who do not pass the final exam will receive a certificate of attendance stating the attended days of the course.

REGISTRATION

You can register online (online registration under "German during Your Studies") or in person during office hours.

You will then receive an invitation to take the online placement test.

Please present your certificate of enrollment from one of the Munich universities when registering. Only then will you pay the reduced student discount.
If you do not have a certificate of enrollment from one of the Munich universities, you will then, however, pay the regular fee without the student discount.
