In the course "Aussprache-Training" you will deal intensively with some problems connected with German phonetics.

• You will learn to pronounce German sounds and patterns of intonation correctly so that others will be able to understand you better.
• You will improve your listening comprehension. Only if you can differentiate foreign sounds well, you can understand better what people are saying.

target group

The course is suited to everyone who wishes to improve pronunciation and listening comprehension. The course is also directed to those participants of our Deutschkurse Intermediate level (Aufbaustufe) and Qualification level (Qualifizierungsstufe), who may have missed pronunciation training in the Basic level courses.

Language Requirements: Level B1 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or successful conclusion of our Deutschkurse level Basic II (Basisstufe II)

Contents

• long and short vowels
• rounded vowels o / ö / u / ü
• pronunciation of "R" in combination with a consonant or vowel
• letter connection (i.e. "ng")
• terminal devoicing (i.e. Rad - Räder)
• aspiration of final sound
• word accent
• intonation (melody)
