Students who wish to write a term paper or thesis.

Language requirements: Level B2 (in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

CONTENTS

• Characteristics of text type - form and function
• Structure and components of a seminar paper
• Lingustic resources for written academic communication: citation, paraphrasing, argumentation, summarising, etc.
• Literature management and referencing
• Ordinary academic language

Please note: The basis for this course is the textbook: Moll / Thielmann (2017), Wissenschaftliches Deutsch, ISBN: ISBN 978-3-8252-4650-1
All participants must have the textbook at the beginning of the course.
